Fruit of the Spirit

Self-Control

In today’s culture, where indulgence is often promoted, it can be challenging to practice self-control. Society encourages us to give in to our desires and seek instant gratification, which can make it difficult to resist temptations and make thoughtful decisions. However, the Bible teaches that self-control is a fruit of the Spirit and can help guide us in making wise choices. Galatians 5:22-23 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” With the help of the Holy Spirit, we can develop self-control and resist the pressure to indulge in ways that may not be beneficial for us. The Spirit empowers us to live in a way that honors God and leads to a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Getting Started

Photojournalism is a way of telling stories using photographs. It involves capturing moments and events as they happen to share with others. Photojournalists take pictures of newsworthy events like natural disasters, political events, or human-interest stories. These images can help people understand what’s happening in the world, even if they can’t be there in person. Photojournalists aim to show the truth and give viewers a real sense of the story through their images. Their work can have a powerful impact, raising awareness and sometimes inspiring change.
