Site Review Day 1
You will practice giving and receiving constructive feedback as you review each other’s websites, helping refine design, usability, and content before the final presentation.
Scripture
- Proverbs 27:17 (HCSB) – “Iron sharpens iron, and one person sharpens another.”
→ Tie-in: Feedback from others helps us grow, just as sharing wisdom and perspective helps others improve their work.
Quick prayer for humility in receiving feedback and kindness in giving it.
How to Give Constructive Feedback
- Be specific – Point out what works and what could improve.
- Be kind – Avoid harsh or overly critical comments.
- Be helpful – Offer suggestions, not just problems.
- Example feedback format:
- One thing you like about the site.
- One thing that could be improved.
One suggestion for enhancement.
Setting Up the Peer Review Process
- Students will pair up or work in small groups.
- Each student will:
- Share their site link (or live preview).
- Give their partner/group 10 minutes to review and note feedback.
- Switch roles after the time is up.
Everyone will fill out a Peer Review Sheet for their partner(s).
Peer Review Activity
-
- Step 1: Reviewer visits the site, navigates pages, and reads content.
- Step 2: Reviewer notes:
- Design consistency.
- Navigation ease.
- Content clarity.
- Mobile responsiveness.
Step 3: Reviewer shares their feedback verbally and hands over the written sheet.
Reflection & Discussion
- Each student shares:
- One piece of feedback they found helpful.
- One change they plan to make before the next review.
- Discuss how feedback will improve final presentation readiness.
Homework
Homework:
- Review all feedback you received and decide which changes to make.
- Implement at least three improvements based on feedback.
Be ready for Site Review Day 2 next week, which will be teacher-focused.
