Proverbs 18:13 “The one who gives an answer before he listens, this is foolishness and disgrace for him.”
This reminds us that wise people listen first, then respond. In interviews—whether you’re the interviewer or the one being interviewed—good listening is essential. If you jump in too quickly with an answer, interrupt, or assume you already know what someone is going to say, you may misunderstand the question and give an unhelpful response. That is exactly what the proverb calls “foolishness.”
