Blog Basics

Scripture

Psalm 96:3 (HCSB) – “Declare His glory among the nations, His wonderful works among all peoples.”
→ Tie-in: Blogs are a way to share stories, experiences, and knowledge with others — just as we are called to share the works of God and His truth with the world.

Difference Between Posts and Pages in WordPress

Pages

  • Best for static, timeless content that doesn’t change often.

  • Not listed by date.

  • Organized hierarchically (parent/child pages).

  • Examples:

    • Home

    • About

    • Contact

    • Services

  • Ideal for content you want users to always have easy access to.

Posts

  • Best for dynamic, regularly updated content.

  • Displayed in reverse chronological order (newest first).

  • Can be organized by categories and tags.

  • Automatically included in your blog feed.

  • Examples:

    • News updates

    • Weekly lessons

    • Tutorials

    • Articles

    • Devotionals

    • Photography tips
